Doosan's lift truck history
Korea’s original home-based lift truck marketplace was an open-import enterprise. In the 1960’s, Korea Machinery Co. Ltd. began to import assembled lift trucks as part of a national machinery expansion project. Early product sales of this industrialized equipment focused on large business groups, the armed forces and on state-run companies. This eventually led to a unification with Daewoo Heavy Industries Ltd. In 1976, the Forklift Division begun business operations throughout Korea to overhaul and sell this heavy equipment. By 1978, a lift truck production plant was successfully completed. Continuous technical training became the new focus for improving quality and product development.
Propane lift truck efficiency is quite remarkable as the cylinders containing propane can simply be replaced and the machinery could get back to work without losing much "downtime". It is not like the electric forklift where extra batteries have to be purchased to be utilized while the original battery can take up to 8 hours of cooling time and 8 hours of charging time depending on the unit.
Safety
For the reason that the propane forklift has a sealed fuel system, it is much safer to operate compared to the different kinds of forklifts on the market. The propane fuel cylinders themselves follow strict national code specialization and are sealed to ensure optimum safety. Propane gas also works with less energy as opposed to CNG gas, thus, if any accident happens, there is a system where the fuel is turned off. This really lessens the probable danger and damage which could happen. Refilling options are also beneficial for the operator. If they would rather refuel somewhere else, the cylinders could be transported to a refilling centre. If the business chooses, the refilling could be completed on site instead.
